Chevy Silverado EV

While the next all-electric Chevy truck isn't expected for a little while, there's still some exciting news that we can share about it that showcases why we prefer it over the F-150 Lightning. The estimated range of the Chevy Silverado EV can reach up to 400 miles on a single charge, allowing you to drive for miles and miles! The powertrain lineup reaches up to 660 horsepower and 780 pound-feet of torque with wide-open watts – that's plenty of power for when you need to hit the road hard!

Ford F-150 Lightning

While Ford's all-electric truck is impressive, you'll find it doesn't quite match the Chevy Silverado EV in numerous categories. The F-150 Lightning only offers a range of up to 300 miles with its Extended Battery option – 100 miles fewer than the Silverado EV truck. While the Ford truck can also tow a maximum of 10,000 pounds, that's all it can do. You won't find another model in its current trim lineup that can tow anywhere near the 20,000 pounds expected with the Silverado EV's WT truck.

Looking to tow with your new Silverado EV? The lineup enjoys up to 10,000 pounds of max towing, but that's not all! With the future WT model, you'll enjoy up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity, easily ensuring you never leave anything behind. With features like Super Cruiseâ„¢ Driver Assistance Technology, a 17-inch diagonal, free-form screen, Google Built-In, and the Multi-Flex Tailgate, you'll have all you need to make your drive even easier!

With the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Extended-Range battery manages up to 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, still not quite enough to match the Silverado EV's powertrain performance. And while the Ford F-150 comes with plenty of exciting technology and features, you won't find options like Super Cruise™, a 17-inch screen, or the Multi-Flex Tailgate available – only the Chevy Silverado EV lineup can offer these features!
